Health care changes have been in the news over the past few years. Are they good for business? Are they bad for business? How will the new regulations affect workplace employees and their families? Big businesses fall under certain regulations and small business under others. But what defines a big or small business? The definition may not be what you think. So many questions and for many businesses the answers to these questions are needed as they move forward.
Many Health Care Reform provisions have already taken effect but many more - including new tax benefits and options for healthcare coverage - are slated to impact businesses beginning in 2014.
To help businesses, large and small find answers to questions regarding Health Care Reform the Warrick County Chamber of Commerce will host a Health Care Reform Seminar on Wednesday, March 6th from 8:00am to 9:30am at the Boonville-Warrick County Library. The Chamber is partnering with Old National Insurance and Fine & Hatfield Attorneys to present the seminar. Steve Snyder of Old National Insurance will address employee benefit issues and Todd Glass of Fine & Hatfield will discuss the legal impacts of the coming changes.
This seminar is designed to include information for both large and small employers. The seminar will feature a detailed description of what the new regulations mean for business as well as the penalties for non-compliance. Businesses will get an overview of the Health Care Reform law, how it will impact employers starting 2014, and what is needed now to prepare.
This seminar is provided as a free service to all Warrick County businesses. To ensure materials for all businesses attending registration is required. Businesses may register online at the Warrick Chamber’s website www.warrickcounty.us or call 897-2340 to reserve seating. The seminar will begin at 8:00am and will wrap up by 9:30am.
Join the Warrick Chamber and learn what is needed to make sure your business is prepared to comply.
